The Netherlands

Driving around the country

sunny 20 °C

This trip was made last April. I had to fly from Faro and landed in Maastrich. Unfortunatly Ryanair is not operating from Lisbon which make our trips two hours longer each way.
Once landed, I drove north in the direction of Amesterdan using the motorway. Amesterdan is a nice city with a lot of interesting sightseeing to do but this time it as too croudy. I had to continue my visit living with this anoying fact, but by the end of the day I've decided that it was time to continue my journey.
Nice small cities in the surroundings - Edam, Volendam, Zaandam just to name a few - are well worthy to stop and spend some time walking around. I then went to the coast and drove south until Roterdam where I also stoped for a short visit.
The return to Maastrich was made using the regular roads which allowed me to fell the country with a little bit more detail.

Bremen, Germany

A lovely city for a weekend break

sunny 7 °C

Bremen was choosen for a short break during March this year.
The city is small and it's easily visited in two or three days.
The old streets and houses of the Schnoor quartier are fantastic and there's plenty of small details to be seen and photographed.
I also recommend a visit to St.Petri cathedral, the arquitecture of this church is amazing.
And check any of the street shops that sell chocolat - it's a must!

Iceland

2011 Summer vacations

sunny 15 °C

Iceland was a trip planned long time ago, and the summer vacations of 2011 was the right moment for it.
I've drived around the west and south of Iceland and spend good moments seeing all those magnificent landscapes - waterfalls, glaciers, vulcanic activity.
If you like great dramatic views, Iceland is the right place for you.
Enjoy some of my photos!

My web travel log

overcast 26 °C

Hi everyone!

I've started to travel long time ago due to professional reasons. And with time I've found out travelling is additive, meaning that after you finnish one trip you immediatly start planning the next one - and you can't stop.
I've travelled around most of Europe and a lot in the USA but in 20 years I had the chance to visit many other places in all five continents.
I confess that I've tried to start a kind of written travel log but writing is not my thing. I do like to take pictures and make my own digital albuns for each major or significant trip.
And that's what you will see in this new blog - a lot of pictures and very little words.
I'm sure that in this travellers point I will find out "professional" travellers, while I may be just a rookie.
Nevertheless, I promise to work hard to come closer to those "pro's". Please take your time to visit this blog from time to time and check the new pictures. And please drop a line or two, I promise to reply and start new web friendships.

See you somewhere...
